Choreography Competition back again this year! Chore Comp is an event where students pair/group up with other students to develop their own choreography to a song of their choice. We believe it gives students a chance to show their family and friends what they love to do as well as encourage their creativity and help grow their self-confidence.

All AT Dance students (levels Juniors +) are welcome to participate by performing their own choreography in the competition. Students will be given time in class to work on their choreogrpahy but will also need to spend some time outside of the classroom working on their dances. Students will then present their pieces on our Chore Comp day in front of their family, friends and peers. Winners of each age group will have the opportunity to perform their piece at the end of year concert. It is a great opportunity to practice dancing in front of others in preparation for our end of year concert and other performance opportunities as well as a lot of fun!
Tiny Tots are welcome to attend. We will be holding a Musical Statues competition for those that attend.
When:
Saturday 15 June 2024, 3pm
(Saturday morning classes still running, doors open at 2.30pm for a 3pm start and estimated 4.45-5pm finish)

Information:
Students will be required to be at the venue a minimum 15min prior to the start of the event ready for the performance and warm up.
A participation fee of $10 is required this year, however it includes one entry ticket for a guest per student.
$10 per person at the door for audience, $15 for 2, $25 for 4 - cash only
Photography and video is permitted during the competition - we ask that you remain respectful of others and try to refrain from blocking anyone else’s view.
Parents/Guardians should be aware that video footage will be taken of the competition.
Only students enrolled at AT Dance can participate.
Costumes are not required for the competition, though dressing up is encouraged (using things you already have at home). Costumes will not add to your scoring.

Duos, trios and groups welcome. Only one performance per student (no solo performances this year)
